Cloning could help any woman who cannot produce an egg. However, I believe that there are now ways to retrieve eggs from ovaries even though the tubes have been tied or cut.
Mark Eibert would be the one to ask about this. He has great expertise about fertility treatments. I’m not sure if a surrogate mother would be necessary or not. Even if a surrogate mother was required, the child would be the genetic child of the woman who contributed the egg and the husband whose sperm fertilized it.
The surrogate would only carry the child and would have no genetic connection to it.
